Days 5-7: 3/39/12-4/1/12

Eats:

Nothing too terrible.  I indulged in a slice of pizza (or two) on Friday night.  On Saturday night, I had a drink too many.  But I was moderate with my portions and I knew when to say no, which is all that matters.

Workout:

I didn’t make it to the gym, and that’s just because I was running around campus all weekend.  Seriously, I gave so many tours, and my campus is full of hills! Plus, I just did 40 push ups because I offered them up to the hockey gods (every goal = 20 push ups!)

Hydration Nudge!
(Oh my Gosh, I look so silly when I drink from a straw!)

Day 4: 3/29/12

Ugh. I had a little mishap with the scale this morning and I freaked out.  I know, I know. I shouldn’t weigh myself everyday.  I seriously can’t help it.  It’s a habit I’ve had and I can’t break.  I got up, did my morning business, stepped on the scale and it said that the progress I had accomplished on MTW was all over.  I was right back where I started.  I took off my clothes and tried again, and I was back to the weight I was at yesterday.  I re-weighed 5 times to make sure.  So no loss, but thankfully, no gain!

Today’s Eats!

Breakfast: Oatmeal, Vanilla Chai tea with fat-free powder creamer and Splenda

Lunch: Turkey and a slice of pepper jack on a wrap with lettuce, tomato, and a little bit of chipotle mayo, 1/2 cup of butternut squash soup

Dinner: Piece of chicken Adobo (some lightly breaded soy sauce chicken), 2 bites of potatoes (they didn’t taste that good, bleh), and cauliflower

Snack: Cup of hot cocoa

Today’s Workout

It wasn’t much because it was yet another busy day.  But I did more squats and lunges because I didn’t feel it from Wednesday’s work out.  I also did a couple of side leg lifts.

Push ups, crunches.

All of that fun stuff.

Even if I’m too busy to get to the gym, I still try to do something.  Because 10 push ups is better than 0.

If you don’t know where you stand, then start walking.

Happy Thursday!

Tuesdays and Thursday are my “cute” days! Well, I’m cute all day erry’ day ;)

But I like to try extra hard on Tuesdays and Thursdays because there is this really attractive guy that sits across from me in history.  He looks like one of my favorite hockey players and mmmm.

I’m amazed I get anything done in that class, because I’m usually so distracted haha.

I hope everyone has a lovely day! <3

Day 3: 3/29/12

Today’s Eats

Breakfast: Slice of homemade pumpkin bread with a tablespoon of peanut butter (hush! My momma sent me back to school with an entire loaf and I don’t want it to go bad! haha)

Lunch: 3 pieces of sushi (the good stuff…nothing tempura!), small salad with ranch dressing, and a medium banana

Snack: Reese’s cup

Dinner: A very small portion of chicken and rice (seriously, maybe 1/3 of a child’s portion), some turkey, lettuce, and tomato on half of a 12” wrap

Snack: A scoop of Fireball ice cream

Today’s Workout

Remember, this is from this evening

10 minutes at 5.0 on the treadmill, 10 minutes at resistance 8 on the elliptical
30 squats while holding two 3lb weights
15 lunges each leg while holding two 3lb weights
10 modified push ups
30 crunches
15 leg lifts/15 leg scissors
30 Russian twists with a 12lb medicine ball

So, let’s pretend this morning’s workout was actually last night’s.

I went to the gym this morning, and I figured “I’ll also have time this evening.” And since I missed yesterday’s workout, I guilted myself into a two-a-day for the day.

So this mornings workout (consisting of 10 minutes at 4.7 on the treadmill, and 10 minutes at resistance 8 on the elliptical) will be yesterday’s workout. (I was going to do cardio only yesterday, anyways, to give my muscles a break.)

Got it? Good :)

And I’ll post tonight’s/today’s workout with the rest of today’s awesomeness!

Day 2: 3/27/12

Today’s Eats:

Breakfast: Slice of pumpkin bread, coffee with fat-free powdered creamer and Splenda

Lunch: Turkey on wheat, with one slice of provolone, lettuce, tomato, and a little bit of chipotle mayo; side of peaces

Dinner: Taco and a cheese enchilada

Snacks: Gummy bears

So overall, I could have done way better with eating.  We ended up going out to a Mexican restaurant because we had gift certificates, and Mexican is my weakness.  Also, when we got back, I split a bag of gummy bears with my two friends.  I could have eaten better, but I’m not going to let it get me down.  I’m drinking a lot of water to balance the sodium, and I’m going to keep going.

Workout:

I had no time to go today because I had to meet my sister, and then we went out to eat, and I had a group meeting.  By the time I finished, the gym was closed.

However, I walked around the outlets for about 15 minutes with my sister.  I also bounced around the room like crazy after my gummy bear sugar high.  This resulted in me doing 3 push-ups.  My arms hurt from doing them yesterday, so 3 was all my weak ass arms could handle. :P  I also walked around the room in a wall sit position for a while! haha

I plan on getting up tomorrow morning to hit up the gym before class.

I just thought of another short term, clothing size related goal.

I got hired by Kennywood recently, a local amusement park.  And they have uniforms.  Which means I have to tell someone my shirt and pants size.

I want to be able to confidently say a Medium Shirt, and a Medium (or a size 10-12) shorts.  I don’t want to have to question if they run bigger or smaller.  I just want to say medium.

That’s my goal for the end of the semester.

MEDIUM.

Day 1: 3/26/12

Today’s Eats:

Breakfast: Slice of homemade pumpkin bread with a tablespoon of peanut butter

Lunch: Slice of cheese pizza, small salad with romaine, cucumber, green peppers, mushrooms, 2 hard boiled eggs, and fat-free ranch dressing, large banana

Dinner: Small serving of nachos with lean ground beef, cheese sauce, salsa, and light sour cream, cucumber and green bell pepper slices, medium banana

Today’s Exercise

It feels so good to get back into it.

6 minutes at 5.0, 3 minutes at 5.5 (before my knee started being dumb)
9 minutes on the elliptical at crossramp 11 and resistance 8
30 squats
10 lunges each leg
8 modified push ups
30 Russian twists with a 12lb med. ball
20 crunches

I’m ready! Again!

I’m back at school.  I have choices for food, I have access to my gym and my treadmill.  I’m ready to get back on track and stay on track.  I’m so sick of hover between 177 and 182.  That’s where I have been for about a year now.  I dipped lower at one point, but I never stayed there.  I’m ready to get lower, and continue.

So, here are my new stats and goals!

SW: 180.4
Height: 5’2”
GW: 160

I don’t care when I hit 160, I just want to hit it.

Some short term goals along the way:

Basically the same ones that I’ve had.

  • Jog a 5K straight through
  • 30 lb bicep curl
  • Fit into my size 12 skirt
  • Look sexy as fuck in my new little black dress
  • Fit into my size M dress tops

A lot of these goals are probably going to be achieved at the same time (ie: all the clothing ones), and I’m hoping this will make it seem less tedious.

Okay. Here we go!

I even bought a classy dress skirt too!

I even bought a classy dress skirt too!

So this is one of the dresses I bought.  The sun washes the color out, but it’s a semi-faded fluorescent yellow, which is why I picked it up.  I wasn’t so sure of it when I saw it, I just chose it for the color.  I tried it on, and I fell in love.  I wasn’t sure my mom would like it, but she did.  I love it with a black tank top and a cute pair of black heels.  Dressy and casual all in one!

Just a few shopping NSVs!

I bought dresses today!! I never buy dresses, but I did. And they’re cute!

The one I bought is a large, and it’s really loose, but I like it like that.

The other one is a MEDIUM! A MEDIUM! I can’t remember the last time I was in a medium.  It’s curve-hugging snug, and I love it.  It feels perfect.

And I bought shorts and cute summer sweatshirts to wear with them.

And a skirt!

Size 14, but it’s starting to feel loose.  I’m getting ready for a 12.  I’m hoping to be at a 10 before summer officially starts.  8 weeks, 2 sizes.  I can do it!

After I eat some gummy bears, because they’re my weakness.
